How Did the Goal Tree Process Work?

Imagine your boss has 10 or 15 objectives to achieve. You’re working down inside this organization and you look at those objectives and you say to yourself, “How can I use my organization and my projects to help achieve those objectives?” The overall business objectives are received at a goal tree cascading event from the business president. In traditional planning, there are a lot of different conflicts, like arrows pointed in different directions, that get in the way of achieving the objectives. Using the goal tree enabled us to line up all the arrows to point in the same direction. This gets everybody working to deliver the objectives. Goal tree is a very powerful tool!
